I Met the Walrus

I watched this animation last year, but didn't have the chance to upload it back then on my blog:

"In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan snuck into John Lennon's hotel room in Toronto and convinced him to do an interview. 38 years later, Levitan, director Josh Raskin and illustrator James Braithwaite have collaborated to create an animated short film using the original interview recording as the soundtrack. A spellbinding vessel for Lennon's boundless wit and timeless message, I Met the Walrus was nominated for the 2008 Academy Award for Animated Short."

I'm really addicted to this animation (I'll only upload up until episode five although I'm tempted to upload Season 1~3!!!!):

Seriously, I watched the whole series... then I started to watch it again from episode one. I LOVE the character design, especially プーチン. I love whenever I see him do this dance at the beginning of the video.

Ahhhh, I need to get my hands on these items!!! And these!!! AND THESE!!!! AND HOW ABOUT THIS ONE??? (okay okay, I'm such a child, I know)

Experience Mobile Mobile

"Work asked me to do something for their Christmas card. I work for an Interactive Agency.

To cut a long story short, after a company-wide upgrade the agency had a lot of old mobiles gathering dust. We took these, built and hoisted a gigantic interactive chandelier/mobile that plays Christmas jingles in our reception."

Merry Christmas!

I hope you guys are enjoying the Christmas holiday with your family and friends! Instead of saying Merry Christmas, I used to tell everyone "Happy Birthday Jesus!" back when I was still living in Tokyo, Japan. I was the only Christian in my whole school. People thought I was some kind of a weirdo. Ahhh... Memories^_^

I think they play A Charlie Brown Christmas every Christmas in America. I always fell asleep during the show... I missed Linus van Pelt's greatest speech about the true meaning of Christmas every time. Thankfully, there was a youtube video of it so Yeahy! I finally learned "what Christmas is all about"... I feel relieved now so I'm off to hibernate like a bear!

Happy Hibernation (Holidays)!

I REALLY want this book for Christmas.

I'd better get it or else, I might stare at a vicious monkey out of anger and frustration.

Russell The ‘Up’ Kid In Real Life

That's my friend's friend's nephew. I think I've actually seen this on his facebook... Wow, the power of internet. Now that little boy's famous for being a Russell look-alike. Well, I DID have the temptation to be the first one to spread this picture on the web because he was so darn cute.

Oxford Circus FlashWalk

"This is a catwalk show with a difference. Featuring hot models, it takes place on one of the most fashionable high streets in the world. What makes it even more compelling is; instead of wearing clothes these models are wearing nothing but body paint."

Behind the Scenes, Magical Movie Moments

"Steven Spielberg. Quentin Tarantino. Martin Scorsese. George Lucas. Modern-day movie directors who's names are somehow stored in our memory. At the very top of their game, these directors have that rare ability to transport us into a different time and place, albeit for just a few hours. They're artists who can see something most of cannot - imaginary worlds we never knew existed.

But this post isn't to celebrate their achievements, it is to take a look back at memorable movie moments that happened behind the camera. It's seeing the worried look on the crew's face as they shoot just one more take. It's that quiet moment shared between the lead actor and director, as the director tries to convey his elaborate vision. It's seconds before the cameras roll, when the director anxiously takes his seat and watches, in excitement, as his world take shape.

For these are the moments when the magic truly happens." ~alice at My Modern Met

Narrow House

Perfect gift for people who'll invite me over their place sometime during the holidays.
I wonder if there's a "The Weird Family Next Door" wine.

132 Birds at The American Museum of Natural History

"I like spending time drawing at The American Museum of Natural
History. For this project I drew 132 of the birds at the museum.
There are owls and eagles and finches and hornbills and about one
hundred others. I draw these birds because I am interested in
learning about both their similarities and differences. I also really
like how they look.

This edition is a result of this documentation."

Lucía, Luis and the Wolf

I fell in love with "Lucía, Luis and the Wolf". It's a beautiful animation though some people might find its story a bit disturbing.

LUCIA (Lucía, Luis y el lobo - Part 1 of 2)
by Niles Atallah, Cristobal Leon & Joaquin Cociña
Lucía is the 1st short video of the 2-part series “Lucía, Luis y el lobo” (”Lucía, Luis and the Wolf”). The video was shot frame by frame with a digital photo camera. Materials: charcoal, dirt, flowers, found objects and cardboard.

LUIS (Lucía, Luis y el lobo - Part 2 of 2)
by Niles Atallah, Cristobal Leon & Joaquin Cociña
Luis is the 2nd short video of the series “Lucía, Luis y el lobo” (”Lucía, Luis and the Wolf”), it is a follow-up to the short video Lucía. The video was shot frame by frame with a digital photo camera. Materials: charcoal, dirt, flowers, found objects and cardboard.

Missing Bike! - No Reward

I thought it was hilarious and brilliant! He even made it into a T-shirt. You can buy it at threadless!

"My design MISSING started out as an actual flyer that I put up around my dorm when my bike was “stolen” earlier this year... Later, I found out it had been towed because I chained it to a fence with a "no bikes" sign on it. Whoops!" ~About my Design by Julian Glander
