"My paintings are inspired by something I call "existential carnality". Derived from my own digitally manipulated photographs, the images are intentionally ambiguous; at once inviting and a little unsettling. The pictures are decadent, and unabashedly sexual, but my subject is an impulse more inclusive than lust. These works address the broadest aspects of existence and humanity: what it is to be alive, to feel, to see, to bear witness - experience without context or spin; the turbulence of physical existence, in all it's beauty, violence and bewilderment." ~Edie Nadelhaft
