Kinetic Sculptures by David C. Roy

"I have been designing and building kinetic sculptures since 1975. Each is a wooden machine powered by a constant force spring which must be wound. While visually interesting sculptures when still, they become truly fascinating when in motion. After a simple winding they entertain with motion and soft sounds for varying lengths of time." ~David C. Roy

David C. Roy's sculptures remind me of a two hundred year old clock (in British Museum) that still works perfectly fine. His kinetic sculptures are truly fascinating to watch.

"Journey is a spring driven kinetic sculpture that runs for about 10 hours per winding."
